The Kingston Canadian Film Festival 2025 identity was created through a collaboration between the St. Lawrence College Graphic Design program and the festival. After presenting concepts alongside other student designers, my direction was selected to become the official visual identity for the 2025 festival season. The project was developed in collaboration with the KCFF art director and later carried forward into the 2026 festival season.
The goal of the identity was to create a bold and recognizable visual system that could capture the atmosphere, energy, and immersive nature of film while remaining flexible across a wide range of festival applications. The final system was designed to adapt across posters, social media, digital promotions, print materials, and environmental graphics while maintaining a cohesive visual presence throughout the festival experience.
This project gave me the opportunity to explore storytelling through visual identity design while working within a real-world collaborative process. It also reinforced the importance of adaptability, atmosphere, and consistency when designing for large cultural events with diverse audiences and applications.

2025
The visual identity was inspired by the atmosphere surrounding independent film and live festival experiences. Bold typography, layered compositions, and custom graphic elements were used to create a system that felt cinematic, energetic, and adaptable across a wide range of applications.
A custom “25” mark was developed to celebrate the festival’s milestone anniversary, while supporting icons, advertisements, banners, and environmental graphics helped create a cohesive visual presence throughout the festival experience.
Currently based in Battersea, Ontario and open to creative opportunities, collaborations, and ongoing design work.
